(KAIR) -- A Nortonville man is likely to face prison after pleading no contest to two counts of involuntary manslaughter while under the influence.
Brian Keefe made the plea, as well as no contest pleas to two DUI charges Wednesday in Jefferson County District Court.
The charges stem from a two-vehicle crash in March of last year that claimed the lives of 38-year-old Shawn Fraker of Winchester and 27-year-old Daniel Walker of Oskaloosa.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a car driven by Keefe went left of center on Hickory Point Road and hit a car driven by Walker head on.
Keefe was severely injured for a lengthy period of time after the accident, which led to the delay in the filing of charges.
After being released on bond in March, Keefe was booked again in August for another DUI and has remained in Jefferson County Jail without bond since.
Sentencing is set for January 10th.
