(KAIR) -- Atchison County Courthouse will remain open during cases of inclement weather.
That’s according to a policy adopted by County Commissioners Monday.
Commissioner Mike Bodenhausen says this was prompted by the recent snowstorms in the region which caused a lot of confusion amongst courthouse employees on if the courthouse should be open or closed. (Play Audio)
Commissioners also hired current Solid Waste Project Manager Chase Brunick as Special Projects Manager.
Brunick was hired last year on a temporary basis to assist in the 2013 budget process and implementation of the solid waste fees.
This full-time expansion of the role will also have Brunick assist with computer software upgrades.
