(KAIR) -- For the first time in many years, the Atchison County Joint Communication board is meeting again and modification to the resolution establishing the board is being modified.
County Counselor Pat Henderson met with County Commissioners Wednesday to present updates to a series of resolutions.
Commissioner Jeff Schuele says the Commission approved Atchison City Manager Trey Cocking to the board, which was first established in 1993.

Also, Schuele says next week, Commissioners will get an update on nuisance violations from Dennis Foster of Northeast Kansas Environmental Services.
Currently, there’s around a dozen properties in the county that are under violation.
Commissioners will not officially meet on Monday; instead they will hit the road with a traveling work day to view roads and bridges of concern around the county.
