(KNZA)--A unique new business is coming to Hiawatha for the new year, with a fitness center set to open.
The project is a joint effort of two local businessmen, Dr. Willie Geisendorf, DDS and Kex Rx owner Joe Koechner.
Dr. Geisendorf says with a location secured at 526 Oregon, a January 15th opening is planned for the fitness center,to be known as Blaise Fitness, as Saint Blaise is the patron saint of health and wellness. .
Koechner says the name was decided by he and Dr. Geisendorf, through discussions with their wives, and selected from what began as a list of hundreds of names.
Remodeling work continues, with the clientele of the 24-hour fitness center to be equipped with state of the art exercise gear, along with 42 inch flat screen televisions.
Annual memberships are available, including family plans, as well as a $45.00 month to month single membership plan.
