Patricia Anne "WenbeQuah" Herrick, 72, of Horton, Kansas, passed away May 1, 2012, at her home, on the Kickapoo Reservation. She was born on September 13, 1939 in Harlem, Montana, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Perry Goslin. Patricia graduated from Haskell Junior College with an Associates Degree. She went on to become a cook and chef at several country clubs, hotels, fine restaurants, Golden Eagle Casino and the Kickapoo Senior Citizens. Patricia was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe, Kickapoo American Legion Auxiliary and served as secretary of the board at the Kahbeah Indian United Methodist Church. She has heritage from the Assiniboine Nezperce Tribe and the Potawatomi Tribe. Survivors include a son, Charley Billy and his wife Kelly Murdock-Billy of Benton, Arkansas; sister, Judy Snyder of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Tim Goslin and grandson, Gabriel Billy. Kennekuk Church services will be at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Kickapoo Community Building. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation. Friends may call Thursday afternoon and Friday at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton.
