Atchison County Commissioners are aiming to conduct a more engaging approach with department heads as part of the beginning of this year’s budget cycle.

Also in their Wednesday meeting, Commissioners are looking into a study with KDOT on whether there should be a stop sign or speed reduction on Greeley Road near Paradise Lake in the western part of the county.
Citizens requested to Commissioners that the area have its speed limit reduced from 50 to 30.
Commissioners have acted in the past where they determined a speed reduction was necessary in two other parts of the county.
