(KAIR) -- A 48-year-old Atchison man is in custody on multiple charges, including an alleged parole violation.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson explains the events that led to the arrest Monday evening of Russell Vanwey.

Vanwey was located late Monday evening by officers outside of a local convenience store and was taken into custody.
He remains in Atchison County Jail awaiting bond and formal charges.
