(KLZA) Sworn and civilian employees of the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) were recognized as employees and supervisor/managers of the year during a ceremony Wednesday in the rotunda of the Nebraska State Capitol.
Trooper Pedram Nabegh, honored as employee of the year (sworn), is a seven-year veteran of the Nebraska State Patrol assigned to the Carrier Enforcement Division in Waverly.
Sergeant Monty Lovelace, an 11-year agency veteran, was honored as the sworn supervisor/manager of the year. Assigned to the Investigative Services Division and stationed in Troop E- Scottsbluff, Sgt. Lovelace has a passion for hard work. He has set an example for his staff by completing 30 new cases, taking over the Troop E internet crimes cases and working alongside staff to complete several high profile cases in the Panhandle. In 2011, Sgt. Lovelace completed the International Association for Identification Certification.
Lovelace previously lived in the Auburn area and served as a Nemaha County Commissioner prior to moving to Troop E in Scottsbluff.
October is State employee Recognition month. The award recipients were honored during a ceremony held in the Rotunda of the state Capitol.
