Pawnee City Council OKs Salary for New Shop Foreman

(KTNC) - The Pawnee City Council approved a salary increase for new Shop Foreman Clint Johnson during Tuesday’s meeting.  A motion approved by the council makes Johnson a salaried employee, with an annual salary of $39,520.  The change was made retroactive to October 22nd, when Johnson formally became Shop Foreman upon the retirement of former Shop Foreman Don Inglis. 
 Council approved a motion to have Johnson and City Clerk Tammy Stephens go to Nebraska City for a management training session.  
Stephens says Council members Deb Klein and Charlie Hatfield were selected to serve on a committee to interview applicants for a full-time city crew position.   (play audio  :25)
In other action, the Pawnee City Council approved a payment of $67,963 to Eriksen Construction for work on the new Wastewater Treatment Facility.  Pawnee City has one payment left to make on the plant. 
Stephens says the gates and fencing has been completed at the plant and a new slurry wagon should be delivered next week.  She says the council did approve one change order to the Sewer Plant project.  (play audio  :25)

And the Pawnee City Council approved an ad accepting bids to lease pasture ground at the city wells.  (play audio   :30)
The council approved a new Hay Ground Farm Lease for 2013 with Deborah and Ryan Wissler.
There will be one new member on the Pawnee City Council following last week’s election.  John Dahlgren was elected to replace John DeFreece, who did not run for reelection to a 5th term on the council.  Roxann Buman retained her seat on the council.
