(KAIR) -- Citizens may be able to use a new elevator at the Atchison County Courthouse ahead of what was expected.
That word coming in a monthly progress report from Hundley Construction at Wednesday’s Atchison County Commissioner meeting.
County Commissioner Jeff Schuele says that it’s well ahead of the initial December 31st completion date.

Commissioners also heard an update on aerial imagery mapping from GIS Tech Tony Redden and Appraiser Jim Lampe.
Schuele says the imagery cost 45 thousand dollars, down from over 100 thousand in 2008.
When the project gets completed in the next 30 to 45 days, groups ranging from law enforcement and first responders, even citizens will have access to the imagery.
