Former Seneca Chamber Director Dies

Harry Leem

(KMZA)--The former head of the Seneca Chamber of Commerce has died. 

Harry Leem was 74 when he died Saturday at his Seneca home. 

Remembered for his lifelong pursuit of knowledge, the Memphis, Tennessee born Leem served in the United States Air Force prior to meeting his wife of 54-years, Shirley. 

He married the Marysville native in 1958, with the couple settling in Seneca. 

Remembered in part for the business he began, and oversaw, Printing Etc., Leem was active in the Seneca community, serving as the Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce for six years.  

Among his survivors are Shirley and three children, Kent, Kelly Siler and Kristine Sarsons. 

Leem, a member of the American Legion, will be remembered during services Wednesday afternoon at Seneca's Lauer Funeral Home beginning at 2:00. Full military honors provided by the Seneca Memorial Post #7458 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Earl W. Taylor Post #21.
