Wilson says Bonar was apprehended and convicted of separate charges in Buchanan County, Missouri and was sentenced to five years in prison.
He says the search of a residence in Saint Joseph weeks after the case began, executed by St. Joe Police, discovered stolen items in the residence believed to belong to victims in the Atchison case.
A co-conspirator in the case, Scott Parker of Saint Joseph, was convicted of vehicular burglary in Atchison County District Court in June and sentenced to a year in prison.
Bonar remains in Atchison County Jail on 10 thousand dollars bond.
