(KMZA)--Nemaha Central students scored well on the state assessment tests last year.
Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School testing coordinator, Carol Sack, presented the results to the USD 115 Board of Education this week.
Results were shown for math, English and language arts. The tests were taken by 3rd-8th grade students along with 10th graders.
The results showed the students scored at or above average in all areas.
Stack says the tests have been changed since a few years ago and last year was the first year of testing under the new system. She said scoring categories have changed and a teacher can identify areas that his or her class tested either strongly or poorly. Individual student results can also be viewed for problems in specific areas.
Stack says the testing times have been greatly reduced, allowing teachers more time to teach in their classrooms.
