(KAIR) -- A 31-year-old Atchison man could face prison after pleading guilty to multiple drug charges Monday in Atchison County District Court.

Craig Lawless pled guilty to the felony drug charge of possession of a narcotic and misdemeanor charges of possession of a depressant and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested August 10th following a traffic stop outside of the KAIR Radio studios where officers discovered morphine and xanax pills.

Lawless also pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of interference with a law enforcement officer for attempting to switch out a urine analysis test.

Sentencing on those charges are set for December 10th.

Lawless remains in Atchison County Jail, serving part of a 30 day jail sanction after having his probation revoked on a conviction earlier this year for attempted possession of methamphetamine in connection to a drug raid of an Atchison residence.

Lawless’ attorney, Alan Ternet, says the military veteran plans to undergo treatment at an area VA facility prior to sentencing.
