(KAIR) -- Atchison City Commissioners Monday afternoon will look to approve a joint effort to resurface U-S 59 Highway through the city.
They will look to sign the KDOT KLINK project at 4:30 at City Hall.
Mayor Allen Reavis says the city will be responsible for 50 percent of the cost.

In other business, the scrapping fees ordinance passed at the last meeting will need to have some tweaks to be considered for re-approval.
Reavis says that was due to state mandates.

Reavis says the five dollar per year fee for apprentices will remain unchanged.
Commissioners will also conduct public hearings before on voting to demolish condemned homes at 1029 Kansas Avenue, 1010 North Eighth Street and 1136 Division.
The board will also look to pass an ordinance to modify subdivision and zoning regulations for areas in a three mile radius outside of city limits.
