Three area schools competed amongst the nine teams in the Santa Fe Trail golf meet, yesterday. It was the Jeff West Tigers that of the three that enjoyed the best finish of the day as their team took home second place with a 354 combined team score.
First place honors went to Osage city who shot a 351 as a team, having three players finish in the top 10 individually. Jeff West matched the three players in the top ten mark with Osage City, as Ryan Debus finished fourth with a 83, Avery Farrant took eighth shooting a 87 and Mitch Flood took home ninth with an 88 on the day.
Host school Santa Fe Trail took home fourth place as a team with a combined team score of 386 in the meet, with their top individual performer shooting a 95, good enough for fourteenth place individually. Atchison the other local school competing at the meet took seventh place as a team out of the nine teams with a team combined score of 462. Cole Custer, was the highest individual performer for Atchison as he finished eleventh on the day with a 91.
