Atchison Woman Pleads Guilty to Theft and Conspiracy Charges
01/24/2012

A 20 year old Atchison woman pleads guilty to multiple amended charges today (Monday) in Atchison County Court.

Lynn Ball pled guilty to level nine felony theft and level 10 felony conspiracy to commit theft charges.

She also pled guilty to a misdemeanor theft charge.

Ball was arrested on December 23rd by Atchison police for taking a generator and lawnmower from a residence in Atchison.

She also pled to conspiring with another individual to go to Potter and take items over one thousand dollars in value.

That individual is allegedly 35 year old Gabriel Walls.

Walls awaits a competency evaluation and another appearance February 6th to see if he’s fit to stand for the charges.

He was unable to appear nearly two weeks ago because the Atchison county jail captain reported Walls was suffering from “psychotic issues.”

 Ball’s sentencing is February 27th.

She could face five to 17 months in prison on the felony theft charge, five to 13 months on the felony conspiracy charge and up to a year in county jail on the misdemeanor.

Since she qualifies for presumptive probation, she is likely to be released on a P-R bond on the condition that she has no contact with Walls.
