FCMS Top Scores on MAP & NSCAS State Test1-6-22

In December Falls City Middle School began to make the transition from the traditional MAP test to the NSCAS state test for Math and Reading.  The state test will replace the traditional MAP test for measuring growth and progress for our students in the areas of Math and Reading.  The MAP test will still be used for Science in order to measure growth and progress.  As a result of this change the way we celebrate our top achievers has changed as well.  Since we are moving to the new test, we do not have comparison scores when looking at student growth between tests.

Due to the changes occurring this Winter we are celebrating our highest scores on the  winter state Math and Reading Test.  We are also going to celebrate the highest score on the Science MAP.  We hope to include our biggest gains in the spring once we have comparison data.

The following students had the top scores in their respective grade level during the December testing window.

Pictured from Left to Right:

Burke Wissman:  Burke had the high score on the state test in Math and Reading for the 6th Grade.

Dayton Snethen:  Dayton had the highest score in the 7th grade on the state Math and Reading Test.  Dayton also had the highest score on the Science MAP test for 7th grade.

Brock Niedfeldt:  Brock had the highest score on the state Math test and the highest score on the MAP Science test for the 8th grade.

Aiden Wendtlandt:  Aiden had the highest score in the 8th grade on the state reading test.

Not Pictured:

Camden Jean:  Camden had the highest score on the 6th grade Science MAP test.

Congratulations to all of our NSCAS/MAP winners.  Mr. Bangert will be buying them lunch for their achievement.
