Sabetha School District New Project

The Sabetha School District announces the launch of our new track and turf field complex project! This state-of-the-art facility would not only provide an amazing environment for our students' athletic development but also enhance their overall classroom experience by promoting health, fitness, and school pride.
But this isn’t just for the school—our new complex would also be available for community use! Whether you’re a runner, fitness enthusiast, or part of a local league, the track and field would be open for YOU to enjoy.
Here are just a few of the exciting benefits:
*Better Learning Environment: Physical fitness contributes to student focus and well-being in the classroom.
*Durability & Safety: All-weather turf for consistent play year-round.
*Increased Community Access: More availability for recreational activities and events.
*Hosting Tournaments: Bringing more regional events to Sabetha! Our current track is not in a condition to be able to host these events any longer.
*Boosting School & Community Pride: A facility that reflects the heart and spirit of Sabetha!
Stay tuned for updates and how YOU can get involved. We’re building something special, and we’re excited to share it with all of you!

Nemaha Central 4th Graders Visit Living History Day

The fourth grade students and teachers headed to Havensville for the 40th and final Living History Day. The fourth graders were thrilled to learn about the many different things that people did in everyday life in the past.

There were many activities that the students could participate in. Some of these included weaving, making tortillas, churning butter, candle dipping, learning about native Kansas animals, and grinding coffee beans. The classes split into groups of four or five in order to do more activities.

Fourth grader, Colt McKee stated, “My favorite part was either the candle making or the animals. I also liked playing at the park.”

“Petting the bunnies was fun,” Ainsley Dalinghaus commented. “We fed them but we couldn’t give them cucumbers, because they have too much water, so we gave them carrots, broccoli, and lettuce instead.”

Overall, the fourth graders enjoyed the trip and “Living History.” Their favorite activities were candle dipping and petting the animals. It was a fun experience and the fourth graders learned a lot about history.

Officer Helm provided countless hours getting everything set up and involving community partners from across the county.
Great work everyone!!!!
