Congrats Sergeants Matthew Locke and Caleb Carrow!!!

Sergeants Matthew Locke and Caleb Carrow are Alpha Battery’s Soldier Spotlights of the month. Both Sergeants Locke and Carrow recently furthered their civilian education through completion of law enforcement training. Sergeant Locke completed the Johnson County Regional Police Academy and Sergeant Carrow completed the Wichita Sedgwick County Law Enforcement Training Center. Both Soldiers recently returned from the 2-130th FAR’s deployment to CENTCOM. Sergeants Locke and Carrow took initiative in furthering their civilian education and to serve in roles in law enforcement. Both Soldiers are standout NCOs that train and develop the Soldiers. Alpha Battery takes great pride in both the military education and civilian education of our Soldiers. ON THE RADAR!

Happy Days Preschool Leads the Crowd!!

Great Job Hiawatha Red Hawk Forensics Team!!!

Congratulations to the Hiawatha Red Hawk Forensics team who competed against 14 teams at the Royal Valley Invitational placing 3rd overall!
Senior Levi Fleagle placed 6th in Poetry qualifying him for State Festival.
Junior Olivia Hawk placed 2nd in Humorous Solo Acting (HSA) qualifying her for State Champs & State Festival. Olivia also placed 1st in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI) qualifying her for State Champs & State Festival in that category.
Junior Tori Wist placed 2nd in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI) qualifying her for State Champs & State Festival. Tori placed 4th in Prose qualifying her for State Festival in that category. Additionally Tori placed 5th in Informative Speech.
Junior Gavin Noll placed 5th in Impromptu Speech qualifying him for State Festival.
Junior Remmy Killman placed 6th in Extemporaneous Speech. Remmy additionally placed 5th in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI).
The team also won the Alien Abduction Photo contest that took place during the meet!
Yet another amazing by the team who continue to strive to be there best sharing their talent & hard work!

A big thanks go out to Seneca's Maggie Koch. For her senior class project, she held a fundraiser with two local schools: Nemaha Central Elementary & Middle School and Saints Peter & Paul, raising $800 that was used to help stock the food pantry! Maggie selected the organization because many people in her family and throughout the community have been helped. We are so grateful for her generous support!

Hiawatha Elementary Shares the Love!!

Hiawatha Elementary 1st grade made Valentine cards for our friends at Vintage Park At Hiawatha! We were able to hand deliver the cards and spend some time visiting with the residents. We ended our time playing a game called "pass the love". We were thankful for the invitation from Vintage Park to allow us to come visit on this special day!

Centralia High School at the SkillsUSA Contest

Centralia High School sent two four-person teams to the SkillsUSA Southwest Washington Region Broadcast/Video News Production contest in Vancouver on Saturday, February 3.
The team of EmbryAnna Schluter (anchor), Phoenix Watson (anchor), Frida Iman-Lopez (floor director) and Marlo Larson (director) took the silver medal and earned the right to attend the State contest next month in Tacoma.

Sabetha Elementary School Donates to the Humane Society!!!

Sabetha Elementary School recently collected donations for the Brown County Humane Society Shelter. The donations were delivered at the end of January. The supplies are very much appreciated. Thank you!!!

ACCHS 2024 King and Queen of Court

Atchison County Community Junior Senior High School congratulates the 2024 King and Queen of Courts and their court, who were crowned during halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game Friday, February 2, 2024.

Carter Swendson was crowned King of Courts and Malorie Bosch was crowned Queen of Courts.

Rounding out the royal court were candidates Carter Page, James Schuetz, Emma Speer, and Avery Sutley.

Assisting with the crowning were representatives of the ACCHS Student Council and Cheerleaders, and announcer, Student Council President Taylor Keimig.

Congratulations to our FFA students. The large group received 1st place as a team in B team in agronomy. The small group picture was individual placers 1st-4th places in agronomy. Emerson placed top 3 individual in Job interview and Sabetha placed 6th high team in overall speech. Great job Bluejays!!
