Falls City Schools Food Drive

FCMS National Junior High Honor Society led the Falls City Middle School in hosting the third annual epic food drive, collecting 1,503 items to donate to the SENCA food pantry and The Richardson County Humane Society!  The food items donated will help people in Richardson county who are food insecure and help to rid the effects of food insecurity like serious health complications from not having adequate and healthy food to learn and grow.

NJHS students created fun, food-themed days and set a series of goals.  For 250 items students were rewarded with a Pajama dress up day. For 500 -1500 items, mystery staff volunteered to dress in inflatable costumes, running a timed relay race: Principal Jack Bangert (flying dragon), Nick Kraft ( T-Rex), Anna Thompson (unicorn), Sharon Jeffries (alien), and champion of the obstacle course, Kory Huppert (unicorn)

Special thanks to Falls City Mercantile, Dollar Fresh, and Sunmart whose donations came through, in the end, to help students meet the goal!
