Clarissa Marie Kerl, 88, formerly of Beatrice, Nebraska passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska.
Clarissa Marie (Cameron) Kerl was born to Glenn and Selma (Yonkey) Cameron on July 22, 1929 at Summerfield, Kansas. She attended country school near Summerfield and graduated from Summerfield High School in 1947.
She was united in marriage to Charles Henry Kerl on February 22, 1949 at the Mission Creek Presbyterian Church. To this union four children were born.
Marie and Henry lived in Beatrice most of their married life where they raised their family. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her daughter and three sons. Marie was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Beatrice and Presbyterian Women’s Group for over 40 years and had also served as a member of session. She enjoyed singing with several different groups in the church and Senior Center. Marie was a loyal and devoted daughter, sister, wife and partner in marriage, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Marie is survived by her husband Henry of Humboldt, sons, Jerry Kerl and wife Ann of Florida, Tim Kerl and partner Angela Walswick of Minnesota and Brian Kerl of Omaha, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother, Larry Cameron and wife Sharon of Summerfield, KS and sister-in-law, Jackie Cameron of Summerfield, KS, nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy (Kerl) Howell and husband Harris, infant brother and brother, James David “J.D” Cameron.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Mission Creek Presbyterian Church, rural Liberty, Nebraska, with Pastor Jim McNeal officiating.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Wherry Mortuary in Pawnee City, Nebraska.
Memorials may go to the Beatrice Senior Center or Mission Creek Cemetery Fund.
Interment will be in the Mission Creek Cemetery, rural Liberty, Nebraska.

Todd M. Farrant, age 52, passed away on Monday, May14, 2018 on the farm.
Todd was born August 2, 1965 in Marysville, Ks. to Frank Allen Farrant and Pearl V. (Miller) Farrant. He graduated from Seaman High school in 1983, and attended Washburn University. Todd was a dedicated and lifelong farmer and loved working the land as his ancestors did.
Todd was united in marriage to Lisa Y. (Groves) Farrant on November 11, 1989 in Meriden, She survives at home.
Todd is also survived by his mother, Pearl Farrant Raugewitz, Ozawkie, four sons, Chase
Farrant, (Overland Park), Riley Farrant, (Topeka), Avery Farrant, (Overland Park), and Colby
Farrant of the home. Todd is also survived by his siblings, Debra (Steve) Baldwin, Joseph
(Pam) Farrant, Rick (Linda) Farrant, and Gary Farrant, step siblings Todd Raugewitz, Chad
(Brenna) Raugewitz, and Jill (Ronny) Lea, all of California. Todd was preceded in death by his father, Frank A. Farrant and step-father Ernest (Ernie) Raugewitz.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was the number one fan of his sons and their activities, and he loved and adored his wife of 28 years. Todd was a gentle giant and peacemaker. He blessed everyone with his jovial laugh, love of life, and thoughtfulness. He was a member of St. Aloysius Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Sunday, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Meriden with Parish Rosary Recitation at 4:00 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Aloysius Church on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Burial immediately following at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made for an educational fund for his youngest son, Colby in care of Barnett Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 602, Oskaloosa, KS, 66066.
